If that's not a metaphor for the changing dynmaics of the New York City cultural industry, nothing is.

London-based gallery Hauser & Wirth , after searching for the ideal New York space for more than three years, is set to open a 23,000-square-foot gallery in Chelsea this fall, occupying the former Roxy roller disco.

Hauser & Wirth New York is open to visitors Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am until 6 pm.
