HINT HINT, INTERVIEW INTERVIEW

Fabien Baron
: Today one jumps between the worlds of art, fashion and entertainment all the time. Designers hire artists to work on their products, while artists want fashion people to be interested in their work, and they both care about fame the way Hollywood cares about fame. Where before these fields were very elitist, today they spread out everywhere. They're interacting more than ever, overlapping and becoming almost one. Interview will represent that. We can make a special fashion issue and be believable, or make a special art issue and be believable, or do entertainment.

Lee Carter: It seems like that's what Andy would've wanted.

Fabien Baron:
And it's what he did very well. He was able to mix glamorous and trendy on the same page, to show the worlds together as one. We can be the ambassadors of this vision.

Lee Carter :A big swirl.

I hadn't left NY is almost two months which was quite unusual as the big grinding machine that is Gotham usually has me ground out after a three week cycle. But now that Spring is clearly here, I find myself running through the city streets excited, invigorated and stimulated. (Literally!) I love how the new kids are dressing now in those clashing colors, in that skintight silhoutte, with all that generation/seperating bravado. I see more eccentricity, daring and individuality than I have seen in a long time. I love Agyness Deyn , I love all these exciting new bands and DJ's bursting out of not only America and England but also from Germany, Canada, France and Australia. I love how much information you can glean from Google/MySpace/Facebook/Youtube and I love that every entrepreneur large and small gets into the viral marketing of that. In other words I love the time I'm living in, the late Zeroes.

"I want to go beyond cool. I'm bored with it."
Bob Richardson

Bob Richardson, the book, is as lavish and glossy as you would want it to be. Terry Richardson, son of, certified blue chip photographer of our day and the editor of this tome, certainly outdoes himself, along with the Creative Director Doug Lloyd and Art Director Gustaf Torling. They deliver a beautiful coffee table tribute that hits all the right, all the expected notes. The cover is that iconic image . Inside is the legendary shot of the model weeping on the beach and Terry has been vigilant in tracking down all those missing tears , chromes and prints from 60's and 70's issues of Harper's Bazaar, Nova, Italian, French and British Vogue necessary to complete the puzzle.
