A STRANGE WIND SWIRLS

From Lauren's Birthday party via ohnowhoa.comFrom Lauren's Birthday party via ohnowhoa.com

Strange things are brewing in NYC these days. Or rather I should say these nights. Strange looks. Mad talent. New blood. And we would like to tap into it. As of today TI is going to take a strange turn. I'm going to stop talking about my tastes and start getting into other people's tastes. As such TI is looking for guest curators who will take over multiple-posts on certain days and upload what they damn well please. Fabien from frillr+hommestar.com is in. Hood By Air is down. Desperately trying to contact the mad mastermind behind ohnowhoa.com. I need to know who this Telfar is. Who's Johnny Misheff? And what in the world is Hercules and Love Affair plotting next? New York is back kids and the next generation is here. Trust!

LA STATE OF MIND

Le Baron goes to HollywoodLe Baron goes to Hollywood

Now that the NY fashion machine is spinning full tilt, my ADD affilicted mind is already eyeing all nearby airports for the next destination. I really wanted it to be London but I think it may be LA first, just for the warmth, the isolation and the sight of a town spinning on the buzz of the upcoming Oscars. Writer's strike or not (many a friend is telling us that event is a catatostrophe all around ) the shiny new beautiful people on the LA scene will be partying like it was still 1999... to the sound of Prince's "1999". It's one of the things I find odd about LA DJ culture...that constant Greatest-Hits-Review most DJ's spin. Which is why TI hopes Lionel Bensemoun's plot to bring Andre Saraiva "Le Baron" franchise to the City Of Angels will mean better music for at least one venue. And yes, I know I owe you the dear reader a long delayed overview of the LA party scene complete with exclusive Q+A's with the hottest promoters and scensters. Well, in order to pull it together I'm hiring an assistant to transcribe the whole epic. We'll do our very best to make it worth the wait and do stay tuned for our Hiss Squad report on the true nature of Le Baron LA. The principals tells style.com that it's going to be "private and for our friends only" . Does that mean the dining room at Chateau is going to go empty?
