'Gelatin Silver, Love,' the debut directorial effort of renowned Japanese photographer Kazumi Kurigami
A photographer (Masatoshi Nagase) is hired to secretly videotape a mysterious woman (Rie Miyazawa) from a stark apartment facing hers, unaware of who she is and why she’s being taped. He becomes increasingly more obsessed with her as he witnesses her go through her daily routines, collecting stacks and stacks of tapes, a few of which he keeps for himself. One day, he comes across a bloody car wreck in which the driver had a bullet hole in the center of his head. In the crowd of witnesses, he notices the woman he’s been following and attempts to photograph her inconspicuously. Soon, he discovers the woman is actually a contract killer working for his client (Koji Yakusho), but he’s become too obsessed with her to be cautious.
