TI IS MAD FOR: William Richard Green: SPRING/SUMMER 12

William Richard Green: SPRING/SUMMER 12 Look BookWilliam Richard Green: SPRING/SUMMER 12 Look Book

It hit TI's inbox as a submission. And how charming a proposition it was , what with all these complex ideas bubbling around teenage malaise as applied to every day menswear. A press blurb like this one can only make you smile :

A Green trademark, polka dot lining appears throughout the collection,
which is made predominantly of British fabrics and produced exclusively in
Great Britain. Polka dots likewise appear on a brogue produced by
Underground for William Richard Green – the second collaboration between
the designer and the legendary English footwear label. Just because the boy
looks poor and suicidal doesn’t mean he can’t buy into the morals of a good
British heritage brand.

God bless then, the morals of a proper British heritage brand.

I just googled him. It all

I just googled him. It all looks like 80s/90s The Face rehash ... wth

So many designers seem to be

So many designers seem to be regurgitating Lang et al. Old hats everywhere ? If the designer is genuine, and has developed the style largely on their own, then please forgive me. Though I doubt it. So much these days is like an 80s/90s uncreative rehash.

Taste is a dictatorship.
