TI IS MAD FOR: GIVENCHY'S FW11 LAYERING

OK so the Givenchy Men design DNA is set. Shorts over tights a/l/a a Japanse street-style boy and then a hip-hop transcendent way with layering...vest with fur trim over long varsity jacket over leather shirt worn with sturdy work boots. Plus that Givenchy Fall/Winter belt...it is the everything. Carry on Panos!

KUDOS REMI!

Kudos to Remi and the entire team at his Mother Agency GADAL Model Management and RE:QUEST NY - you have a great future!

Japanese street style boy? I

Japanese street style boy? I think it transcends and references a little further than that... Very American actually. Fun collection though!

so japan

I live in Japan a country conversely mens style and menswear (historically) far outshines womens wear, in its complexity, layers and textures and I think he is spot on with that inference.

What you say about japan is

What you say about japan is true but in the case of this particular reference point, not so much.... The Japanese are great observers of other cultures and this is by far is a style that has been picked up along the way

It's no secret

Omg Panos and Nicola are totally upfront about how much they take from the japanese street looks. This collection is totally urban and American sportswear layered japanese style . Gq.com called it they said it was samurai meets b-boy

Ok... this is on going style

Ok... this is on going style tactic at this house that has never been deemed in the past as samauri... I believe this asian influence hails from other detailing in the collection besides the legging/shorts effect. If anything the high socks with shorts lends itself to more of a b-boy aspect. But hey I could be wrong... though ive been seeing this look on athletic/subculture american youth since the late 70-90's. Your reference point is probably the same as panos', I just know otherwise

Uhmmmm but those are not

Uhmmmm but those are not high socks those are LEGGINGS in a thick brown wool w shorts just like they has been leggings with shorts in every single Givenchy collection . This time in just another material. So hey u r wrong cuz u r just looking at the internet picture. I was there. The b-boy styling is with the backpacks and the jackets, hats and glasses. The casting respects that. It's not one thing vs another it's the mix of looks. It was brilliant!

I love the show, my opinion

I love the show, my opinion deters from yours on references/styling origins... The look is a look, not design... Your silly to think this is Asian
