The LA art scene...if its good enough for Jeffery Deitch it's good enough for me...I like all the cliches and sterotypes of LA...a mirage in the desert...the desert of the real...the flatness...the fakeness...aridity...brash wealth...bling...bling. Which is why this show at MOCA is the perfect opener to an LA tour. This collection of images by American architects Robert Venturi, Denise Scott Brown, and Steven Izenourfor a study of Las Vegas "as a model of architectural communication focused on a populist aesthetic," as Artforum aptly describes it is the very much in tune to my new mission. Learning to be pop. As in popular culture...All-American...mass-market. I come to bask in the bright lights and the bold forms. Amen

Don't turn the wheel

I think that you are on to something here.
