Gold lettering on a perfect shade of gray....too luscious!

Yesterday, I have to say simmers in memory as one of the best days of my life. Why? Because on a tour of Harajuku supervised by the excellent Mana and Sei from Spur I stumbled onto so many new, inspiring and beautifully rendered things that I have to chronicle it in a later post . One the big joys however was a discovery in the United Arrows store of a strangely obscure French accessories label dubbed "Vassant".
"Now I'm pretty on top of my French luxe labels but what in God's name is a Vassant ...Mana? Ever heard of?" I queried.
After investigating the issue with the Japanese salesperson Mana explained that it was essentially a factory label that has been manufacturing for several luxury accessories houses very quietly and privately.
Still suspicious, I examined the quality of the stitching, the embossed label and the caliber of the cutting. All formidable. Next thing you know..I was walking out with a Vassant credit card holder. I love that these pieces are rendered in such a luscious shade of gray. Stay tuned for more news on what was the biggest discovery of all on that Saturday afternoon expedition.
