Byzantine lines on the new Diptyque boxes

Yes, yes, I know I can tell the Hiss Squad nothing new about Diptyque but last night I did the weekly pop-in to Aedes de Venustas store and saw the 2008 Holiday line on the shelf. There are three scents, Amber, Scotch Pine and Briar Honey, all very sweet all very powerful when lit. As a designhead what I lived for was the beautiful graphics of those lines on the candle glass. I was thinking Deco via Biba but the in-house press says the pattern is inspired by Byzantine architecture. Gorgeous to look at, whatever the reference!
