Constraction at Deitch is a great great Summer 09 NY art gallery moment! Run don't walk!

I ran through the Dietch Projects "Constraction" show this morning and ran back out with my mouth open. Amazing show. Ostensibly a group show curated by Kathy Grayson and constructed around the theme of "conceptual abstraction" , I adored the way the new kids (Peter Coffin, Xylor Jane, Tauba Auerbach, Joe Bradley, Mitzi Pederson, Ari Peterson )spiked the old tropes with a hot jet of technological innovation. TI related and was invigorated and inspired. "Constraction" runs until August 9th so you must, must, must take time to see this show. Hyper-Dynamic !
