Designheads...can we unite on some issues ? Since Fabien Baron stepped down at Vogue Paris to assume stewardship of Interview, TI has not been getting any sleep. Will Baron go back to his blueprint from his pioneering 90's Interview style with its bold through back to the stark 50's work of Brodovitch or will he retain the more complex and florid design idiom he recently explored at Vogue Paris.

That could be a redundancy as VP's current Art Director, Johan Svensson has retained much of those Baron templates for his current work in that book. On the subject of templates, how do you feel about the lack thereof in M/M (Paris)' work for Arena Homme Plus (also a former Baron stomping ground). They are giving an almost free-hand, hand drawn design aesthetic which is sure to be a massive influence. It is very much within their historic aesthetic as designers but the question is, how do feel about that font used for the text in AH+. Is it too challenging? I find READING AH+ to be quite a chore some days. But is that , perhaps the point?
